Sage Instruments' 925VST is a powerful handheld voice over packet (VoP) service qualification tool for field deployment and troubleshooting personnel who need a rapid and reliable installation tool.
With the 925VST, installers place test calls to a Sage responder and perform automated packet voice tests to quickly profile end-to-end, network performance. The tester can place and receive test calls, from a 2-wide analog interface (POTS), or test from an IP phone/digital phone 4-wire analog handset interface. It helps the user to ensure QoS (quality of service) across the network, qualify ECHO, DELAY, MOS (clarity) and voice packet loss, among other functions.
Once a test is selected on the 925VST, it runs automatically, initiating tests and displaying results immediately upon completion. Test criteria templates installed on the device determine whether a test passes or fails, and multiple results can be stored for later review or export. The 925VST comes equipped with the Sage Next Generation VoP Test suite, including MOS, packet voice impairment test (PVIT), echo sounder, DVM, DTMF, and callback tests. In addition, legacy 100 and 102 test line measurements are supported.
