Triple output DC/DC converter

30 May 2007 Power Electronics / Power Management

The Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics has released a new Interpoint DC/DC converter that can power both digital and analog systems with one converter.

The MWR Series of triple output DC/DC converters is a high-density, high-efficiency product that operates over a wide input range of 14-50 V d.c.

The MWR Series provides a high-efficiency low-noise converter with a variety of outputs available. The 3,3 V main output with ±12 or ±15 V auxiliary outputs allows the user to power both digital (3,3 V) and analog (±12 or ±15 V) from the same converter. The MWR is also available with a 5 V main and ±12 or ±15 V auxiliaries.

The MWR converters also feature an inhibit function, soft start and soft recovery. MWR converters have low output noise; typically around 0,5% up to 20 MHz bandwidth and high audio rejection adding up to a very quiet product.

The full operating temperature range is -55 to 125°C, case. The hermetically-sealed case measures 49,5 x 34,3 x 10,5 mm. Screening levels of standard, /ES and (after qualification) /883 (referenced to MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534) are offered.
