Tektronix has announced that its RSA6100A Series Real-Time Spectrum Analysers received the Editor's Choice Award in Electronic Engineering Times-China Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards for the most significant technical solution in the past 12 months. The inaugural EE Times-China ACE Awards recognise technology companies that enable the country's design engineers to develop advanced electronics.
The awards received 224 entries from 83 companies. "The RSA6100A Real-Time Spectrum Analyser stood out as the most significant technical solution in the last 12 months," said Yorbe Zhang, editor in chief of EE Times-China. "The RTSA's ability to visually display the live RF spectrum, showing the spectral activity in realtime, is a stunning engineering accomplishment and a critically important capability that will enable design engineers to develop RF-based products with much greater confidence. The remarkable live RF innovation in addition to its other industry-leading capabilities made the RSA6100A a clear choice for top honours."
The RSA6100A series DPX waveform image processor technology uniquely transforms volumes of realtime data to produce a live RF spectrum presentation that reveals previously unseen RF signals and signal anomalies. Live RF is achieved by improving the spectrum measurement rate nearly 1000 times compared to the fastest swept spectrum and vector signal analysers (VSA). The live RF spectrum display provides an intuitive live colour view of signal transients changing over time in the frequency domain, giving a user immediate confidence in the stability of their design, or instantly displaying a fault when it occurs.
The Tektronix RSA6100A offers 110 MHz capture bandwidth and 73 dB spurious-free dynamic range, and is specifically designed to solve digital RF problems.
