Bipolar LDO family is accurate and quick

ON Semiconductor has introduced four new high performance bipolar low dropout (LDO) linear regulators. With output currents ranging from 0,5 A up to 3,0 A and very low noise performance (without bypass capacitor), the new NCP3335A, NCP5661, NCP565, NCP5662, and NCP5663 offer output voltages down to 0,9 V and employ a special composite architecture that provides extremely fast (< 1,0 μs) dynamic response to changing output loads. Providing low ground current independent of output load, the devices reduce power losses. In particular, the 500 mA NCP3335A LDO can sustain inputs voltages up to 16 V and uses a special voltage reference and feedback mechanism that offers very tight output accuracies over operating conditions of load, line and temperature. Output accuracies for all devices are from under 1% at room temperature and under 1,5% across the operating range of line, load, and temperature conditions.
