USB-based data acquisition modules simplify measurement tasks

4 April 2007 Test & Measurement

Advantech says its USB-based 4700 series DAQ interfaces is a perfect solution for portable DAQ tools. Now, the engineer or scientist can access high-quality measurements as easily as plugging a USB cable into a computer or notebook. The advantage of simple installation, built-in signal conditioning and free supporting software make the USB-4700 series very easy-to-use. The USB modules are completely portable and compact.

The USB-4711 is a 100 kSa/s, 12-bit multifunction DAQ module with USB interface. It has a flexible configuration offering 16 SE/8 Diff inputs with 12-bit resolution, up to 100 kSa/s throughput, 16 digital I/O lines, one user counter/timer and two 12-bit analog outputs.

High-quality measurement capability is available without programming. The USB compact data acquisition module is simply connected to a computer or laptop - no additional batteries or power supplies are required (a wire terminal is built-in) - the supplied software installed, and the signal is connected directly to the module. The USB-4711 can measure multiple channels of voltage, current, pulse, frequency and digital I/O.
