Agilent Technologies' first handheld RF spectrum analyser, the Agilent N9340A, is optimised for installation and maintenance tasks. This handheld RF spectrum analyser can be used in the 100 kHz to 3 GHz spectrum and is suited to a variety of industries, including wireless service providers, aerospace/defence spectrum management authorities, and television and broadcasting.
Spectrum analysis is fundamental to RF testing and signal characterisation; however, engineers and technicians do not always work in full development laboratory facilities or manufacturing environments. As a result, says Agilent, its N9340A offers portable, high-performance, basic and affordable spectrum analysis.
Wireless devices are increasingly requiring greater bandwidth usage, which means that the ability to discriminate between different signals is also becoming more challenging. However, with the N9340A these challenges can be addressed, optimising the analyser's sensitivity and selectivity specifications.
The Agilent N9340A offers a combination of superior DANL and RBW that in turn allows for faster sweep time and usability. This provides a good balance of price and performance for a wide range of RF field test use. The DANL is -124 dBm with preamplifier off, or -144 dBm with preamplifier on (30 Hz RBW, 10 MHz < fc ≤ 1,5 GHz). The phase noise is -87 dBc at 30 kHz offset. Additionally, the Agilent N9340A supports one-button measurements of occupied bandwidth, channel power and adjacent channel power ratio.
Other key features include:
* A transflective colour LCD delivers a clear, bright trace, even in the sun.
* Four hours of battery operating time.
* Remote control with a PC is enabled with it USB interface.
* USB memory-stick support.
* Weighs 3,5 kg, including the battery, hence convenient for the field.
