Samtec Tiger Eye contacts are used in new Micro Mate discrete wire cable plugs (SFSD Series) to provide cable-to-board solutions for the popular TFM/SFM Series board-to-board interconnect system. These polarised plugs are available with 28 AWG or 30 AWG wire with 20, 40, or 60 contacts.
The standard plugs mate with TFM Series double row headers spaced on 1,27 mm pitch. Higher retention 'friction locks' are also available for mating with the TFML series.
Tiger Eye contacts are multifinger, precision stamped and formed contacts for higher reliability applications. For the Micro Mate product line, they are plated with 0,76 μm gold.
