Avago Technologies' ADCC-3100 is an advanced, low power 1,3 megapixel (SXGA) image sensor with an integrated image processor. The CMOS image sensor and image processing pipeline delivers images in data formats ready for storage or transmission.
Output data is transmitted using a parallel port. Internal FIFO data handling with automatic lowest power management is supported to reduce the output clock frequency, host processor bandwidth requirements, power and EMI. The CMOS image sensor incorporates Avago's leading 2,2 mm pixel design with virtually zero image lag and high sensitivity. Combined with its low noise 0,13 μm process, this results in the smallest high quality CMOS image sensor available, which enables the lowest z-height 1,3 MP camera module, according to Avago.
The CMOS active-pixel digital array incorporates 1280 H x 1 024 V active pixels in a 5 mm format, along with an on-chip ADC which provides up to 8-bit resolution per pixel. Features include enhanced pixel with 3D pixel e-Field shaping technology, spot metering, auto illuminant detection, true black, advanced auto exposure, adaptive tone mapping, colour variance correction and bad pixel and cluster correction.
The ADCC-3100 is ideal for application in mobile phones, video phones, personal digital assistants, image-enabled appliances, digital still mini cameras and security cameras. Its on-chip image processing eliminates the need for an additional companion chip.
The ADCC-3100 fits into a tiny 6 x 6 x 4,5 mm low-profile camera module.
