ON Semiconductor has expanded its Power MOSFET portfolio with 18 new devices for computing. These new power MOSFETs optimise DC-DC conversion and reduce power losses at critical current levels, it says. The devices target CPU/GPU power delivery, DC-DC conversion and both low-and high-side switching in computing applications. The devices are 30 V, 35- to 191 A single N-channel MOSFETs offering lower RDS(ON), which minimises power dissipation. They also provide low gate charge and low gate charge ratio that reduces conduction and switching losses. This makes the power supply more efficient. Eight of the new power MOSFET devices are available in a DPAK package, with the additional 10 devices available in SO-8 flat lead package - with exposed lead frame on the backside for better heat removal.
