High-current inductors feature lowest DCR/μH for size

Vishay has extended its IHLP family of low-profile, high-current inductors with new devices offering saturation currents up to 12 A and typical DCR values down to 3,4 mΩ in 2525 footprint.

Key applications include voltage regulator module and DC-to-DC converter applications in end products.

These devices, which offer inductance values from 10 μH down to 0,56 μH, occupy the standard 2525 footprint shared by lower-profile IHLP devices while providing higher rated current and lower DCR values.

Saturation currents range from 4,5 A to 12 A, while typical DCR values range from 3,4 mΩ to 67,9 mΩ. Standard inductance tolerance is ±20% and they can operate from -55 to 125°C. They measure 6,47 mm by 6,86 mm with a maximum height profile of 5,0 mm.

Packaged in an RoHS-compliant lead-free, shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to very low levels, they offer high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.
