Rugged mains power logger

9 August 2006 Test & Measurement

Comtest has launched Fluke's new simple, 3-phase 1735 Power Logger, eliminating the need for the Fluke 433 model in its Power Quality range. The 1735 provides optimum functionality for basic power quality testing. According to the company, it is the ideal electrician or technician's tool for conducting energy studies and basic power quality logging.

The 1735 has a colour display and can be set up in seconds. It includes flexible current probes. The 1735 logs most electrical power parameters, harmonics and can capture voltage events over a 45-day period.

Other features: monitors maximum power demand over user-defined averaging periods; proves the benefit of efficiency improvements with energy consumption tests; improves reliability by capturing voltage dips and swells from load switching; measures all three phases and neutral; displays graphs and generates reports with included Power Log software.

The 600 V, CAT III rated Fluke 1735 has a compact, rugged design with IP65 case. The old Fluke 433 will no longer be available after September, with the 43 B, 434 and the new 435 and 1735 models replacing it.
