The SPC 5 and SPC 16 spring-cage plug connectors from Phoenix Contact offer an easy-to-install and time-saving solution for wiring in PCB connection technology. Both plug connectors are designed with a combi/spring spring-cage connection for direct tool-free connection to the PCB.
This spring permits the connection of flexible cables with cross-sections up to 6 mm² and rigid cables with cross-sections up to 10 mm² with the SPC 5 plug connector. Thus, a current of 41 A can be transmitted with a 7,62 mm pitch.
The SPC 16 plug connector with pitch size 10,16 mm also permits the tool-free connection of flexible cables with a cross-section up to 16 mm² with minimal force. The current loading capacity in this case is 76 A.
Both plug connectors have unrestricted 600 V UL approval and are thus appropriate for use on the international market. They are compatible with market standard housings and thus offer an alternative to plug connectors with screw connections.
