Gatable intensified CCD camera

Lheritier, a French specialist CCD camera manufacturer, has introduced the LH 760 ULL, a new generation, intensified CCD camera. It features high sensitivity utilising a new high resolution interline CCD, coupled through a fibre-optic taper, to a very high gain double proximity focused microchannel intensifier.
Through the use of the remote control unit, most functions can be accessed ensuring high flexibility. In addition, the control unit includes suitable extensions to receive the optional digital processing unit and realtime DSP 1000 image enhancer.
The LH 760 can operate in an intensified or gated mode. The latter, when used with the optional processing unit, will freeze pictures from very high-speed events. The LH 760 ULL is used in ballistic (rockets in flight) and detonative applications, as well as many other high-speed video events. Other uses are in fluorescence and luminescence microscopy, astronomy and X-ray imagery.
