Constantly greater packing densities for computer systems and the ever increasing processor speeds can easily become a source of problems regarding heat. This must be taken into account when planning systems, racks and computer centres. With Rittal's RimatriX5 cooling module, a climate control solution is offered that can match the specific application requirements, from passive cooling to active rack-specific control and also active liquid-based cooling systems for high-performance CPUs.
The Rittal product range comprises fan systems and cooling units with capacities of up to 5 kW, heat exchangers for the dissipation of high heat loads up to 20 kW, and finally, liquid-based CPU cooling with a capacity of up to 25 kW per rack. Recooling systems provide a central chilling and supply station for the coolant media of liquid cooling systems without raising the temperature in the computer centre itself.
