At only 1,4 mm high and occupying only 3,4 mm² of PCB space, Hirose believes that this is currently the smallest co-axial wire-to-PCB connector on the market.
This connector has a frequency range of DC to 6 GHz making it totally suited for wireless LAN, Bluetooth PDA, GPS, electronic measuring instruments and any space-critical electronic equipment.
The PCB-mount receptacle weighs only 5,6 mg and is supplied packaged in tape and reel format, the outer shell is silver-plated with a gold centre contact. Mounting onto the PCB is achieved with three ground points and a centre contact to give stability, performance as well as strength.
The plugs are also silver-plated with a gold centre contact and are supplied pre-terminated to 0,8 mm diameter cable. When mated, with the receptacle, full mating is confirmed with a tactile click, the plug is then able to rotate through 360°, making the routing of cable straightforward.
