Schroff offers an extensive product range with subracks, cases, VME and CPCI systems as well as indoor and outdoor cabinets for use in different areas of railway and traffic technology. The products conform to the railway standards that are relevant to these applications.

Examples of applications are as enclosures for electronics for service train guidance systems in underground trains, and enclosures and subracks for the mobile transmission systems of digital communications networks (GSM-R). In signal boxes, amongst others, subracks for CompactPCI units for the guidance of railtracks and signals are in use. For high speed train routes, robust outdoor cabinets are used to provide optimal protection of the measurement, control and safety systems, eg, overheating and braking systems for trains. For use inside trains too, the Proline series indoor cabinets and the europacPRO subracks offer all that is required for the secure housing of motor control or train safety systems through their modular building and fitting possibilities.

Up to 80% the packaging solutions from Schroff are based on pre-tested standard products, which can be used without modification. Through active involvement with the international standards committees Schroff guarantees adherence to all global standards.
