Last year, Comtest introduced the Fluke 1587 and 1577 Insulation Multimeters, which combine a digital insulation tester with a full-featured, digital multimeter in a single, compact, handheld unit. Now, Comtest has introduced the Fluke 1587T Insulation Multimeter, which has been optimised for telecom use, by limiting the insulation test output voltages to 50 V and 100 V only.
Says Comtest MD Peter Verwer: "Fluke introduced this tool in response to worldwide customer demand. Customers said that while they loved the new 1587 insulation multimeter, they would prefer to have only 50 V and 100 V output to suit testing in the telecom environment."
