Phoenix Contact SFP 1-20/120AC surge protection device combines surge protection with a protection circuit against high frequency interference. The robust housing is DIN-rail mountable and can be retrofitted to existing power supplies.
The protection unit is specially conceived for the requirements of the American and Asian markets. It is rated for a maximum nominal current of 20 A and a nominal voltage of up to 120 V a.c. The integrated varistors are thermally monitored. If the protection circuitry is overloaded as a result of too frequent or too excessive demands, the varistors are safely cut off from the mains supply. In this case an indicator lamp on the front of the housing signals the overload status. For remote monitoring, a changeover contact with floating earth is integrated into the protection unit.
The arrester protection circuit meets the requirements of UL 1449 ED.2 according to IEEE, and the filter circuit meets the requirements of UL 1283.
