Probe adapter for realtime spectrum analysers

16 November 2005 Test & Measurement

The RTPA2A Real-Time Probe Adapter is a new interface hardware module that allows Tektronix active probes to be used with Tektronix Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers (RTSA). The interface allows connection of high frequency in-circuit probes for RF signals up to 8 GHz and enables base-band analysis of IQ signals. The RTPA2A is designed for the RSA3408A, RSA3300A series, RSA2200A series, and WCA200A Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers.

In many stages of RF design, it is necessary to probe certain points within a circuit to isolate a problem. When combined with Real-time Spectrum Analysis, circuit problems can be captured and analysed in multiple domains. With the RTPA2A, customers will be able to troubleshoot at different and specific points on their device under test (DUT).

The combination of RTSA and TekConnect probes are particularly suited for customers conducting general RF troubleshooting, high speed digital design with high dynamic range phase noise measurements, EMI troubleshooting, and high impedance IQ baseband input for low power RF devices.
