Environment-friendly scratch-proof aluminium laminate is meeting high demands in respect of design, surface, and electric conductivity of front panels.
Front panels are used as extension covers in subrack fronts and can also be used as complete plug-in assemblies. Rittal has now developed a new process that is friendly to the environment yet still meets the highest demands in respect of design, surface, and electric conductivity of front panels.
It achieves this by using an aluminium laminate with a surface characterised by particular hardness and scratch-resistance and does not need any expensive treatment such as pickling or chromating. An additional advantage is the insensitivity of the surface, preventing for example, unsightly fingerprints, and the overall smooth and homogenous appearance. The laminate also does not have any detrimental effect on mechanical processing like punching and milling or on the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
