Fischer Elektronik has responded to the increasing demand for smaller grid spacing by extending its product range for 1,27 mm grid spacing. The new types of double-row male and female headers are being manufactured both using soldering technology (THT) and SMD technology. The contacts are spaced at 1,27 mm, the rows at 2,54 mm.
The insulators are made from plastics that are resistant to high temperatures and are suitable for various soldering techniques. The contacts are available in two surface finishes: G - completely gold-plated or Z - completely tin-plated. The complete headers are in conformity with RoHs.
Headers produced with the soldering technology are supplied with 4-72 contacts, whereas headers of SMD design are supplied with 4-40 contacts. Headers made with the soldering technology are available with various contact lengths.
