Embedded module simplifies designs and speeds time-to-market

The A9M9750 is a member of FS Forthe-Systeme's ModARM9 family of modular solutions for embedded solutions. The A9M9750 Module simplifies design, reduces risk and time-to-market in new product development and prototyping.

The A9M9750 module is based on NetSilicon's 200 MHz NS9750 processor and includes the core components for every embedded product. By designing the module into a new prototype or new product, significant benefits can be achieved that save time and cost, and allow developers to deliver higher quality products in less time.

The design process is simplified. The fine pitch, high speed parts with stringent interface requirements are already on the module. The baseboard includes connectors and peripherals, resulting in a less expensive board with fewer layers or fine-pitch vias. Risk is reduced as the most complicated part of the design is complete, debugged and working - on the 44 x 66 mm module. This reduces the cost and time of board re-spins, and also makes the simplified baseboard easier to test and debug.

Time-to-market is shortened. Using developer's kits for Linux and Windows CE, application software can begin immediately, without waiting for completed hardware and porting of start-up code and RTOS on a custom hardware board. The A9M9750 is well-suited for applications that require a 10/100 Ethernet interface, eg, industrial automation; retail; point-of-sale; data acquisition; building automation and access control.
