Polarising clips provide foolproof connection

13 July 2005 Interconnection

Camden Electronics' CTB93XX series terminal blocks now have an additional facility to help ensure correct connections - polarising clips. The orange CTB9300/PC clips are designed to fit onto Camden's 5, 5,08, 7,5 and 7,62 mm pitch female and closed end male pluggable terminal blocks and provide polarisation to ensure that parts are connected correctly.

These simple-to-use clips provide a foolproof method of ensuring that only correctly polarised connectors can be inserted into corresponding PCB mounted terminal blocks. The clips can also be used on Camden's recently launched range of double-decker PCB connectors, the CTB9350DD series designed for use in applications where a high density of connections is required.

CTB93XX series terminal blocks provide a quick and convenient method of connecting cables to PCB circuits and are moulded in green UL94V0 flame retardant PA66. Features include professional rising clamp terminals, 2- to 24-pole solid blocks, open and closed headers, captive screws, guided PIN alignment and resistance to solder wicking.

The connectors are UL, VDE, CSA and CE approved.
