Cermet trimpots only 0,8 mm high

Cermet trimming potentiometers with a profile height of 0,8 mm (±0,1 mm) are in production at Murata. Applications will include modules for LCDs, optical communications, sensors and slim optical pick-ups.

These PVA2 series potentiometers also meet RoHS requirements, so users have the benefit of the reduced environmental impact. The operating temperature range is

-55 to 125°C so they are also suitable for automotive products. The multicontact wiper provides low noise and stable characteristics.

Internal construction uses no flux, solder or adhesives but ensures good solderability and robust terminal attachment. The new PVA2 series is also safe at the elevated temperatures needed for reflow soldering.

Total resistance tolerance is ±25% and resistance change in most environmental conditions is ±3,0%. Temperature coefficient of resistance is ±250 ppm/°C.
