Multi-analyser for monitoring wireless networks

18 May 2005 Test & Measurement

NetHawk's M5 Multi-Analyser is designed for realtime monitoring of telecoms networks. It provides advanced analysis capabilities to interpret signalling for network testing and development, troubleshooting and tuning. NetHawk M5 enables the user to monitor protocols, implement call and session tracing and key performance indicator (KPI) analysis in multitechnology environments including UMTS, EDGE, GPRS and GSM technologies.

The M5 is a PC-based solution and offers wide support for different network manufacturers and different 3GPP specifications such as R5, R4 and R99.

The analyser is able to verify High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) broadband technology or circuit-switched video service. High speed signalling links (HSL) and SS7 over IP (SigTran) can also be analysed with the M5.

Each application features powerful filtering capabilities for easier analysis, and analysis can be done either in realtime or off-line later from a recorded trace file.
