MPL has expanded its Packaged Industrial PC line with a further unique unit, the PIP9.
This solution incorporates the low power Pentium III processor with 933 MHz with 512 kB L2 cache from Intel's Embedded Program (long-term availability) as well as a powerful 3D-Graphic processor (AGP 4x) with independent graphics memory. The on-board graphics chip simultaneously supports two displays with different applications and different resolutions.
The product is flexible and can be expanded over PC/104, PC/104-Plus or even PCI slots. These solutions are offered in a range of PIP housings that are chrome-plated internally and powder-coated externally for EMI protection. The on-board interfaces can be accessed externally on standard connectors without any internal wiring. The units have a complete set of PC features as well as industrial features like a wide DC input power, four serial ports (RS232/422/485), watchdog, temperature sensor, multipurpose socket for SRAM and EPROM, and CAN. UPS functionality is also available.
It operates at 0 to 60°C and an extended temperature solution is available. The PIP9 is also available as panel solution built in a stainless steel or aluminium housing with 31 cm to 48 cm displays.
