Wave solder flux for Pb-free applications

Indium has introduced a flux product specifically developed for the Pb-free wave soldering of mixed-technology and through-hole electronic assemblies. The new flux is a no-clean, halide-free material that provides enhanced heat stability for the higher temperatures required in Pb-free wave soldering processes, says the company.
Called Wave Solder Flux 3592-35, this solvent-based formulation is designed to provide a wide process window, superior hole-fill and solderability on all board finishes with minimised solder balling. Indium says it can be used with tin/copper, tin/silver/copper and tin/lead alloys.
