BivarOpto has introduced a new wedge-based LED designed for extended life applications and replacement of conventional T-1 (5 mm) wedge-based incandescent bulbs. Applications for this new LED device include telecommunications, switching systems, elevators, automotive instrument panels, annunciators, indicators and use in miniature lighted pushbutton switches.
The new WB5 Series features a flat faced lens design with an internal reflector for enhanced intensity and a 180° viewing angle. Rated 2,5-48 V d.c., the subminiature unit measures 20,4 mm in length and 5,8 mm in diameter. Ideal for applications where vibration, electrical and mechanical shock, and heat typically reduce the service life of incandescent lamps, it offers an extended service life rated at up to 100 000 hours, while requiring low operating current (10-30 mA typical).
They are available in a brilliant white, blue, purple, turquoise, ultramarine, green, yellow, amber, orange and red.
