Compact DIN rail housings for a wide range of electronics solutions
25 August 2004Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services
The ME MAX rail-mounting electronic housings from Phoenix Contact feature compact dimensions but still leave room for custom electronics. In addition, a larger front surface is provided for connectors with high numbers of pins as well as operating and control elements below the hinged see-through cover.
The signal and supply voltages are conveniently and cost-effectively looped through a mounting rail bus connection, which is clipped onto the DIN rail. Single devices can therefore now be locked into position or removed from the network in the usual way. This means that the signal chain remains unbroken.
The most important features of these electronics housings include the modular housing design that can be extended from 17,5 mm to 45 mm in width; the mixed fixed connection and plug connection technology with up to three connection levels; as well as plug connection technology in screw, spring and quick connection form. Furthermore, other industrial plug connectors such as D-SUB and RJ45 are easy to integrate.
