Multiphase controller gets 'Best Product Design' award

14 July 2004 News

ON Semiconductor announced that China's Electronic Design and Application World (EDAW) magazine presented it with a 'Best Product Design' award in power management for its NCP5331 two-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) controller. This device is designed for low voltage, high current power supplies including video graphics cards, telecom systems and other DC-DC applications. The NCP5331 two-phase buck controller features internal gate drivers ideally suited for generating low voltage, high current outputs. The enhanced V2 control methodology, adjustable switching frequency of up to 600 kHz and 0,8% precision reference are a few notable features. It also has a unique over-voltage protection scheme.
