Wireless LAN PCMCIA adapter and LAN PCI reader

5 May 2004 Computer/Embedded Technology

The WLAN-9030 from Advantech is an 11 Mbps wireless LAN PCMCIA adapter that fits into the PCMCIA Type II slot. It delivers an optimal combination of range, throughput, low power consumption and interference immunity. Fully compliant with the IEEE 8022.11 (b), the 11 Mbps Wireless LAN standard, the WLAN-9030 offers network support, high security WEP40 protection, self-diagnostic configuration utility, Web management and SNMP. It is a solution for laptop PC users and other portable devices with standard Type II PCMCIA slots.

The WLAN-9060 is an 11 Mbps wireless LAN PCI adapter that is compliant with PCI v2.2 standard. It offers plug-and-play installation and fits the most common bus on today's desktop PCs. Once installed, the connection allows a computer to immediately become a wireless extension of the existing wired network and provide seamless roaming. The user can roam to different areas and still connect to the network via the access point browser.
