Power-One has expanded its isolated DC/DC brick product family with the addition of new through-hole, surface-mount, low-voltage/high-current, and bus converter models. Over 200 Distributed Power Architecture (DPA) compatible products are now available to provide up to 500 W and 100 A.
Single-output products, ranging from the 18 W E2S 1/8-brick to the 500 W FHS full-brick provide output voltages from 1,2 to 48 V d.c. Power-One's technical advances include the TXS series, the first 3/4-brick to provide a 100 A output. In addition, three new 12 V d.c output bus converters have been introduced including an 11 A ¼-brick, 25 A ½-brick, and 42 A full-brick.
Dual-output bricks, available in ¼, ½, and ¾ footprints, provide from 1,2 to 5 V d.c. with currents up to 25 A. The power-dense HHD series provides 100 W in a ½-brick package with a low profile height of only 12,7 mm. Additional performance features of the HHD Series include full-power operation to 55°C ambient with only 200 LFM cooling air without the addition of a heatsink.
Triple-output innovations include the 100 W half-brick HNT45ZEDB, which provides the functionality of an isolated brick and three POLs in one package. Three fully-regulated and isolated outputs can be programmed to provide from 0,75 to 5,15 V d.c. Combining these wide-range outputs with 0-15 A output-loading capabilities provides the HNT45ZEDB with the applications flexibility of an entire series.
Typical features include industry-leading efficiencies and power densities, a comprehensive selection of input-voltage ranges, 1500 V d.c. input-to-output isolation, no minimum load operation, and low conducted and radiated EMI. Typical interface and protection features include remote on/off, remote sense, output overcurrent, output overvoltage, and overtemperature. Selected models feature One-SMarT surface-mountable packages.
