Licensing agreement for QMA coaxial connectors

24 March 2004 News

Rosenberger has signed a licensing agreement with the Swiss company Huber + Suhner and Radiall, of France, for QMA RF coaxial connectors. Rosenberger is authorised to act as a QLF manufacturer. The new QLF standard (quick lock formula) guarantees full intermateability between connectors produced by the licensing parties.

Rosenberger QMA connectors - a subminiature connector series based on the SMA connectors' interface - are designed for applications up to 18 GHz. The quick lock coupling mechanism enables fast, easy and reliable connections in tight spaces, the spectrum covers jacks and plugs for cable assembly, panel mounting and PCB mounting, even in SMT technology. Straight and right-angle types are available, as well as terminations and adapters.

Additionally, Rosenberger has designed QMA jacks with slotted outer contacts, to make sure that outer conductor contact is constantly maintained. Plugs in commercial versions with a plastic housing - in 4 different coloured codings - are also available.

A catalogue is available from the distributor.
