Test & Measurement
A new LCR meter has been added to QuadTech's Digibridge family of impedance measuring instruments. The instrument is specifically designed for benchtop use or automated test on a wide variety of passive components and materials.
Some of the features that make the 1715 ideal for incoming inspection, quality control, or production applications include: measurement of 11 impedance parameters; basic measurement accuracy of 0,2%; test frequencies of 100 Hz, 120 Hz, 1 kHz, and 10 kHz; interfaces: RS232 standard, IEEE-488/handler optional; internal memory for storage of test set-up; binning and Hi/Lo comparator for sorting; simultaneously displays values and binning or comparator results.
The 1715 can measure, display, and output the results of two parameters at a time, including: capacitance, AC resistance, inductance - series or parallel, as well as dissipation factor, quality factor, impedance, phase angle, and reactance.
The unit provides a user-friendly menu interface for easy set-up and programming. The test operator has the ability to store the test set-up from internal memory ensuring that a test can be configured quickly and run the same way every time. The programmable Hi/Lo comparator function displays value, deviation or % deviation around a nominal value. There are also eight sorting bins for categorisation.
The 1715 offers a number of other features including, fast measure speed, programmable source impedance, zeroing correction, and remote interface connection. A choice of three measure modes are available (fast, medium, and slow) for varying degrees of accuracy and speed up to 25 measurements per second. To ensure optimum compatibility to the device under test 1715 provides automatic selection of the measurement range and instrument impedance from 25 Ω to 100 kΩ.
