Fluke Networks has announced that it has redefined the performance and cable locating capability of toners and probes with the announcement of its new IntelliTone toner and probe. Using advanced digital signal locating technology pioneered and patented by Fluke Networks - also called IntelliTone - the new toner and probe series is said to offer unsurpassed performance in finding the most elusive, hidden, or bundled cables quickly and reliably.
The IntelliTone toner energises cable conductors with a smart digital signal. This signal is interpreted by the IntelliTone probe which uses both audio and visual indicators to simplify signal interpretation. In addition to copper cable location, IntelliTone technology also provides a collection of diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities. The IntelliTone 200 toner and probe provide a cablemap function to validate end-to-end cable conductor continuity, to clearly identify miswires. The IntelliTone toner provides powerful service identification and diagnostics, such as Ethernet link detect, telecom polarity/continuity, and talk battery.
