Two-in-One THR male headers from Phoenix Contact mean that components with high numbers of pins - from 12 to 20 - can be integrated into the SMD process. Additionally, these male headers come in 56 mm wide reels, the industrial standard. These connectors are easily integrated into existing production processes, because they are compatible with the mounting process and require the same process equipment as that used for male headers with smaller numbers of pins, says the company.
The THR male headers are composed of two segments on the PCB. Each segment is packaged as tape-on-reel. The segments are narrower on the respective interior side walls. This leaves room for the housings to be mounted and placed in series, and without coming into contact. Following reflow soldering, the headers have the same properties as single-piece headers.
Two-in-One THR male connectors are offered in 3,5 mm and 3,81 mm pitch, are pluggable both horizontally and vertically, in housings with side walls or screwed flanges, and with 12 to 20 pins.
