Pericom Semiconductor's new PI74LVC logic family for bi-directional 3 V to 5 V voltage translation, offer 10 µA Icc (max standby current) compared to 50 to 80 µA, and 50 µA delta Icc (3,3 V port max) compared to 500 µA of the industry standard. Pericom's 8-bit, 3,3 V to 5 V voltage translator (level shifter) family consists of four devices: PI74LVC3245A, PI74LVC 4245A, PI74LVCC3245A, and PI74LVCC4245A. These bi-directional transceivers have dual power supplies and can translate signal voltage levels from 3 V LVTTL/LVCMOS to 5 V CMOS, and vice-versa, in a mixed-voltage environment.
