Afrac Enclosures has launched its flat-pack cabinet. In line with the company's export market requirement, it was asked to make the product less expensive for shipment purposes. With this as its main objective, the company employed two design engineers to come up with a user-friendly solution.
This has been successfully achieved and the assembly of a flat-pack cabinet requires only eight bolts. The total assembly time should be no longer than 10 minutes, according to Afrac. All cabinets prior to flat-packing are pre-assembled in the factory. This ensures quality control and that all required items are packed.
The cabinets are available in sizes ranging from 10 to 47U in depths of 600, 800, 900 or 1000 mm. Slack cabinets are also offered in the various heights. Accessories such as castors, plinths and vented panel options are also offered.
