Wavecom's WISMO Pac offers everything one needs for GSM/GPRS all in a single component, including full-function GPRS, a WAP stack and browser for mobile phone applications. Using what the company calls 'Chip-Pac technology' allows the WISMO Pac to be automatically positioned and soldered. The advantage of this is that OEM's can add wireless functionality to their devices while maintaining cost-effective large-scale production runs.
Being small enough to fit in many applications, the WISMO Pac enables wireless Internet in almost any handheld products. Available as dual band 900/1800 and 900/1900 MHz versions, these products can be used all over the world. The company's unique Open MMI platform also allows one to develop one's own user interface over the protocol stack.
