Organic gel batteries safer and last longer

What do space shuttles, satellites, nuclear submarines and ADT's alarm systems have in common? They all use the unique 100% pure organic gel back-up batteries.
ADT Security (SA) national procurement manager John Cave first came across the unique 100% gel technology battery when he was in Portugal - it was being used in an electronic wheelchair. Seeing the potential for security systems, extensive research led him to a supplier and he has now secured exclusive rights for the battery in Africa.
John Cave, national procurement manager for ADT Security, shows the new gel technology battery
Conventional gel-paste and sulphuric acid mixed batteries can be potentially hazardous to both the environment and people should the battery break and spill. Much safer, these 7 A.hr range of 12 V batteries have another advantage in that they can be re-charged from 0 V, giving a longer life.
ADT has used the organic gel battery on all its new installations since October 2002 and is phasing out all the older existing batteries over time.
