Central Semiconductor's new PICOmini device, the CMLDM7002A, is claimed to be the smallest dual N-Channel Enhancement-mode DMOS FET. It provides improved specifications when compared to the industry-standard 2N7002 device type. The CMLDM7002A consists of two individual 7002A DMOS FETs manufactured with the N-Channel DMOS process, and is epoxy-moulded in a 6-lead SOT-563 surface mount package. The SOT-563 uses 68% less board space than an equivalent device packaged in SOT-26. This device boasts a low VDS(ON) of 1,0 V (max) and is ideally suited for motor control, high speed pulsed amplifier and general purpose line driver applications. The device is also available in an alternative pinout, which reverses the leads of the Source and Gate on both devices.
