Balluf's new non-contact linear positioning transducer, the Micropulse AT, is an all-round performer.
According to the company, the use of non-contact position sensors has now become affordable even for injection moulding machines, having smaller clamping forces as an alternative to wear-limited potentiometers.
Balluf has especially designed this magnetostrictive transducer to meet the demands and needs of the injection moulding industry. Freed from the old mechanical technology but compatible with standard products, the round-shaped Micropulse AT design sets new standards. Flexible and cost-effective mounting options and state-of-the-art technology, combined with a non-contact operating principle make this sensor unique. Both the traditional 0-10 V analog output version as well as the now widely accepted, highly noise-immune start/stop pulse interface are available.
The connector and mounting configurations are similar to the Balluff proximity switch products.
