RF Cable & Connector Supplies relocates

7 July 2010 News

RF Cable & Connector Supplies, together with its manufacturing wing, Powerlane Antenna Products, has relocated to new premises at 5 Acacia Park, Capital Hill Commercial Estate, Midrand. The move to more spacious premises is expected to allow additional products to be developed and added to the company’s portfolio and offer greater opportunities for expansion.

RF Cable & Connector Supplies initially commenced operation some 16 years ago with Sam McCrorie at the helm. At that stage, the company was purely an importer of coaxial cables and connectors as used in the commercial radio communications industry. With growing interest from the marketplace, other items were added to the range of products to include installation peripherals, power supplies and eventually antennas. The antenna manufacturing division of the business operates under the Powerlane banner.

Both companies serve the commercial two-way radio communications market as importers, manufacturers and wholesalers of peripheral items used in the commercial two-way radio communications market in South Africa, together with a small amount of export business. In addition to their headquarters in Gauteng, the companies are also represented by wholly owned subsidiaries in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. Powerlane is responsible for the design and development of antennas, duplexers and other specialised items used in the radio communications industry, the emphasis being on product quality.
