Channel Data acquires Powermode UPS business

27 June 2007 News

Channel Data has announced that it has acquired 100% of Powermode, a successful UPS distribution company based in Bedfordview.

Powermode represents the Blazer, Titan and Powermode brands of single- and 3-phase enterprise-quality UPS devices.

In terms of the agreement the entire range of UPS devices is available for distribution through Channel Data as of Monday 4 June 2007. "The UPS market is enjoying a strong upsurge as power reliability becomes a prime concern for all businesses. The synergy is immediately apparent in the expanded reach that Channel Data can provide in distributing the Powermode range to our broad base of resellers and integrators," says Jack Ward, the chief executive for Channel Data.

Powermode has over the last few years experienced strong growth. "The new Powermode enterprise UPS range is ideally suited to the corporate data centre. We are very excited by the potential that Channel Data brings in providing a strong sales force with integration and 24 hours a day, seven days a week service," concludes Philip Hampton, MD of Powermode.
