3rd Eastern Cape Industrial Technology Exhibition a resounding success

22 March 2006 News

Port Elizabeth opened its arms to the 3rd Eastern Cape Industrial Technology Exhibition and as in previous years, was a resounding success, according to organisers Exhibitions for Africa. The exhibition took place between Wednesday 15 and Friday 17 February in the Fresh Produce Terminal and went off without a hitch.

According to Dev Naidoo, the commercial director of Exhibitions for Africa, 'all our plans for creating a networking opportunity to grow the economy in the region have come to fruition and we were successful in attracting the 'right' kinds of visitors to the show'. Garreth Jopson of Coastland Sales was delighted that 'important decision makers from Spoornet, Transwerk and Portnet' had paid a visit to his stand.

There were in the region of 160 exhibitors showcasing their wares at the event, some of them first-time participants and many of them 'old hands.' Visitors came from far and wide, with even a visit from a group of 32 Lithuanian CEOs and technical engineers from construction and industrial companies, who came to look at investment opportunities in the region.

The next exhibition is slated for 20 to 22 February 2008.
