Hassim teamed up with an American entrepreneur, Brian Leone, to create ChipBase.com. ChipBase.com's customers enjoy its free online access to millions of electronic components from around the world. This supports the company's focus on international trade.

Hassim says that he believes that his excellent staff and loyal customers, are the main driving force behind his company's succcess. The employees are highly efficient and service-orientated, understanding that service is of the utmost importance. He also believes in empowering every employee to be his or her own boss and in the importance of creating a family atmosphere.

KH Distributors is also in the process of attaining ISO 9001:2000 certification, and is 100% black empowered, which fits in well with its plans of being among the top electronics component distributors locally and internationally. It has experienced substantial growth over the last few years but also has further plans of expanding its current operation.
