Catalyst Semiconductor has announced that it has appointed MB Silicon Systems, headquartered in Houghton, Johannesburg, as a Catalyst sales representative and distributor in South Africa. MB Silicon Systems will distribute all Catalyst's programmable products, including Flash memories, parallel and serial EEPROMs, NVRAMs, digitally programmable potentiometers (DPP) and microcontroller supervisory circuits with EEPROM memory.
"MB Silicon Systems rapidly expanded its semiconductor market share in South Africa. Its solid experience and customer knowledge within our target consumer, industrial and communication market segments will support our 2003 growth plans," said Dave Lathan, Catalyst's vice president of European sales. "Acting as both our representative and distributor, MB Silicon Systems is able to serve the local needs of our customers with reliable delivery, technical service and competitive pricing."
