Programmable PSUs meet RoHS2, carry CE mark

9 November 2016 Power Electronics / Power Management

The 10 kW and 15 kW ranges of TDK-Lambda’s Genesys programmable power supplies are now RoHS2 compliant.

All models having an output voltage between 30 V and 1500 V d.c. and those with less than 30 V output (with an input voltage of 208 V a.c. or 400 V a.c.) now carry the CE mark in accordance with RoHS2 Directive 2011/65/EU in addition to the 2014/35/EU and the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU previously covered.

Carrying a five-year warranty, the AC-DC programmable power supply series share common front panel features and compact dimensions: 3U (133 mm) high and 19” (483 mm) wide. A broad choice of output voltage and current combinations is available, including 7,5 V at 1000 A to 1500 V at 10 A models, and all units will operate in either constant voltage or constant current modes.

Programming methods include built-in RS-232 and RS-485, as well as optional LAN, GPIB and isolated analog interfaces. Input voltages include 3-phase 208 V ac, or a 3-phase 400 or 480 V a.c., and have passive power factor correction. These high-power systems address the requirements for applications in the OEM, industrial, aerospace and ATE markets, including semiconductor and automotive test, component test and burn-in, and magnet supplies.
