The MP4569 from Monolithic Power Systems is a step-down switching regulator with integrated high-side/low-side, high-voltage power MOSFETs. It provides a highly efficient output of up to 0,3 A and its 3,5 A shutdown mode quiescent current is good for battery-powered applications.
The wide 4,5 V to 75 V input range accommodates a variety of step-down applications in automotive environments, and an AEC-Q100 qualified variant (MPQ4569) is also available. Both models can be supplied in QFN-10 (3 x 3 mm) or SOIC-8 EP packages.
The device allows for high power conversion efficiency over a wide load range by scaling down the switching frequency under light-load conditions to reduce switching and gate driver losses. The switching frequency during startup and short circuit can also be scaled down to prevent inductor current runaway, while thermal shutdown provides reliable, fault-tolerant operation.
