Ethernet board with PoE+ outputs

20 May 2015 Computer/Embedded Technology Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

MPL announced new embedded boards in PCIe/104 format to support remote devices that need to be powered over Ethernet connections.

Each of the UNIGET boards’ four gigabit LAN ports can supply Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+) and can either be equipped with RJ45 connectors, lockable headers, or with SFP cages for fibre application; a mixture of these is also possible.

Suited to defence or railway applications where PoE on M12 or MIL-38999 connectors are a must, the solution is available in a standard temperature range (-20°C to 60°C) as well as -40°C to +85°C tested in a climate chamber; a special coating is also available for demanding requirements. The boards are based on an Intel Ethernet chip with broad operating system support (DOS, Linux, Windows 7, Windows 8 as well as Windows Server 2008 and 2012).
